| Finbarr Curran is Director of Field & Emergency Support, for the World Food Programme - the food aid agency of the United Nation. Previously he was the CIO and Director of ICT. Finbarr has spent 25 years implementing change, within the humanitarian support services space.
He believes humanitarian players can gain enormously by partnering with each other and with strong commercial players. He cites successful WFP projects with the Boston Consulting group and TNT. In his current Finbarr has built a team that develops innovative, self-funded, approaches to improving the cost-effectiveness support services. These include Vehicle Leasing, Vehicle Self-insurance, ‘Right-Shoring’, Shared Services, and Services upon demand. |
