Angola Governor happy about roads rehabilitation works (28/03/08)

The Governor of the northern Uíge province, António Bento Cangulo expressed satisfaction at the implementation rate of rehabilitation works of the Uíge/Mucaba/Maquela road, after an assessing visit to the site.

Speaking to the press, the official praised the quality of the works, adding that the recovery of the road will further enable the circulation of people and goods in the region, adding that some constraints were recorded due to the rains, what might delay the handing over of the undertaking, under the aegis of the Chinese construction firm 'CRBC'.

The works also include the recovery of eight bridges over the rivers located along the route.

The provincial governor, who was accompanied by heads of the contractor, of the local department of Public Works and by administrators of Damba and Mucaba districts, travelled about 130 kilometres, already levelled, from Uíge to Missão village, Damba district.
